We gotta love folks even when they do bad things; that's the only way to have peace down in the heart. The words little Lillie hears pawpaw say echo down through her life. Born into a family of sharecroppers in the Deep South Lillie has plenty of opportunities to put this teaching into practice.  through racial slurs, grinding poverty, material turmoil, and accusation of insanity because of her boldness for christ. Lillie faces it all with forgiveness and stubborn faith. Her life and her lips bubble over with exuberant joy on her savior, and her testimony displays the miracle of his grace. Because she chooses to forgive, God brings beauty out of her deepest heartaches.
