Helen of the Old House

Millsburgh was aptly named - The Mill at the heart of the manufacturing center was also at the smokey heart of the town. And residents couldn't think of The Mill without thinking about wealthy Adam Ward, the rich man who ran the mill, or of his daughter: Helen. They smiled when they heard her name, but not in a gracious way. Not in a proud way. But rather in a queer way that indicated they'd better be heading on home, as such matters didn't concern them.
