Hansel and Gretel

Two children lost in the woods stumble upon a gingerbread house belonging to a sinister witch who imprisons them with plans to cook them for dinner. Through cleverness and courage, the siblings outwit their captor, escape with her treasure, and find their way home to their father, discovering that greed and cruelty are ultimately punished while love and loyalty are rewarded.
