How far would you go to obtain a  house and thirty thousand dollars? For one citizen of New York City, the answer knows no bounds. When she hears that an antique dealer is coming and willing to spend thirty thousand dollars, she sets to work plotting a cold, heartless killing. The antique dealer will be her scapegoat. Lavon Yoder is flabbergasted when he gets the call. "Lee Pedersen was murdered," he hears from the other end. "And it appears as if you were the last one there."
